Within about a half-hour drive from Levi, in the shade of the Pallas-Ylläs National Park lies Lake Jerisjärvi. On the edge of the Northern lake, in Keimiöniemi, lives the Shaman of Lake Jerisjärvi. Settle down comfortably on reindeer skins in the kota (lappish tepee) and let the open fire tune you into the atmosphere. Do you hear the ravens’ gurgling croaks, the ”hoot-whoo” of a Boreal Owl – foreseeing the arrival of the Shaman…?
The Shaman tells you about the magical atmosphere of Lapland, of gnomes, Northern Lights, of Lappish nature – and lastly endows the travelers with good luck dedicating them with the magic circle of Lapland. When the Shaman disappears, the kota’s owner – the master of stories – takes his place and narrates his birthplace in its colorful past and present, whilst preparing your meal.
